Welcome to streetperson — republished

Streetperson.net is a collection of thoughts, started in 1996 as a little corner of the web that I wanted to call my own, on a domain called chapters.org, which I wanted to reflect “chapters” of our lives. Like everything else, it has gone through as series of changes, evolving to what we know as streetperson the web site, and now, after much procrastination, I’m finally putting up the blog version.

I wanted something more regular, something that reflected a little more of the claim “Man-On-The-Street”, something more “everyday”. Life is made up more of these little things, these little moments, than anything else. Thus streetperson.net.

Both carthatic and jubilant moods, ups and downs — nobody ever said that life would be a bed of roses. There is no greener grass, there is NO other side, just a little patch way down there amidst rolling fields — make YOURS the greenest.

Over time I have also included insights from both friends and strangers, people with whom I have crossed paths directly or indirectly with. No real names are ever mentioned without consent, and often stories are woven around actual incidents.

Streetperson is about all of us, in one way or another, and I would like to thank all of you who have written to me about how some of the articles have made sense to you, and how sometimes, it’s given you a little bit of insight too.

Streetperson is ever evolving and I will try to broaden the range of content, as always, let me know your thoughts.

Write me.
